Winners Announced for the Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards
Active Lincolnshire has announced the winners of the annual Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2025. Ten winners were revealed at a community celebration with took place at the Engine Shed in Lincoln on Thu 6 November. The event recognised the remarkable achievements and dedication of those helping to make Lincolnshire a more active, healthier, and happier place to live.

Winners Announced for the Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards
Active Lincolnshire has announced the winners of the annual Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2025. Shine is delighted to announce its offer of a wide range of fully funded adult learning and accredited training opportunities this season.
Additionally, as part of our partnership with West Lindsey District Council, we are pleased to offer a number of fully funded places on accredited courses for individuals living or working within the West Lindsey district.

Developing an inclusive environment
This workshop explores how clubs and organisations can foster a truly inclusive environment that engages and retains a diverse range of participants and volunteers.
Through reflection and discussion, learners will examine what inclusion looks and feels like in their organisation, identify barriers to belonging, and explore solutions for greater accessibility.
Learners will leave with practical strategies and an action plan to enhance inclusivity and ensure their club or organisation is welcoming to all.

Leadership and governance – Buddle Workshop
This interactive workshop is designed to help leaders strengthen their club or organisation's structure and governance.
Participants will explore key leadership and management principles, assess their current committee effectiveness, and gain practical insights into best governance practices.
Through engaging discussions and hands-on exercises, attendees will map out their organisation’s structure, define roles and responsibilities, and identify concrete steps to improve leadership and governance.
By the end of the session, each participant will leave with a tailored action plan to enhance their organisation’s structure and ensure a safe, well-managed environment for all.

Raising money – Buddle Workshop
This workshop provides practical guidance on fundraising strategies to support your club or organisation’s financial sustainability. Learners will explore various ways to raise money, including grant funding, and learn the key ‘dos and don’ts’ for securing financial support.
Through interactive discussions, attendees will assess their organisation’s funding needs, compare different fundraising approaches, and develop a tailored plan to meet both short-term and long-term financial goals.
By the end of the session, participants will leave with actionable strategies to strengthen their organisation’s financial future.

NPLQ Lifeguard Course
Jubilee Park is pleased to announce that an NPLQ Lifeguard Course will be held during the February half term in preparation for the forthcoming season. This course is consistently well-attended, and early booking is strongly recommended to secure a place.
Course Dates: Monday 16 February – Friday 20 February 2026 Course Assessment: Sunday 22 February 2026, 9:00am – 12:00 noon Cost: £295.00
Attendance is required on all five training days in order to be eligible for the final assessment. Candidates must be competent swimmers and must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the assessment.

UK Coaching Learning Lab
Learning Lab is a social learning space for those involved, or aspiring to be involved, in supporting coaches through formal curricula (such as coach education qualifications and CPD). It is a space to support and challenge each other across sports and contexts. Members share stories, support growth, and help create tangible and practical solutions.
Free to all thanks to funding from Sport England.
